"The 31st annual Leo and Ada McSwain Memorial Family Reunion will be held in Colmesneil Texas at the McSwain "lakehouse" on  Saturday, May 24, 2008.  This reunion was started in 1978 by the children of Leo and Ada McSwain and has been held in Colmesneil ever since. The living children of Leo and Ada are Norma George, Odell Hart, and E.C. McSwain. There will be family, food, pictures, and family info. STAFF SGT. KEVIN CASEY ROBERTS
     Staff Sgt. Kevin Casey Roberts, was killed on May 7, 2008, in Afghanistan while in active service serving his country.  Burial will be in West Hamilton Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born in 1983 he was the son of Milton C. and Gerri Sue Roberts.  Survivors include wife, Donnice Yates Roberts of Fort Campbell Kentucky; children Caehlen and Keeghan Roberts; Parents Milton and Gerri of Farmington, New Mexico; Brothers, Spc. Curby R. Roberts of Fort Hood, Texas and Jerry E. Roberts of Farmington, New Mexico.  Grandparents, bob and Delsia Powell of Shelbyville. Mangum Funeral Home.

SYBIL ALLENE HEARIQUES
    Sybil Allene Heariques, 95, died April 20, 2008 in Tallulah, Louisiana.  Burial was in Old Home Cemetery, Shelby County.  Born November 20, 1913, in Joaquin, she was the daughter of Henry and Ellie Parker.  Ms. Heariques was preceded in death by Husbands, James Vance Chandler and James Clark Henriques, Jr., Brothers, Thomas James Parker, Elidge Westley Parker and Henry Thomas Parker, Jr,; Sisters, Maybell Parker Hickman.  Survivors include Nephew; Nieces. 
ELIZABETH HOWARD SWINDLE
    Elizabeth Howard Swindle, 72, of Center died May 4, 2008.  Burial was in Bennett Chapel Cemetery.  Born October 25, 1935, in Henderson, she was the daughter of King and Parrie Mae Howard.  Ms. Swindle was preceded in death by sons, John Swindle and Sam Swindle.  Survivors include Husband, Zephaniah Swindle; Sister, Nettie Dixon of Henderson.  Community Funeral Home.
 

MACY LEE TUTT
     Macy Lee Tutt, 82 of Nacogdoches died May 6, 2008 in Nacogdoches.  Burial was in Old Smyrna Cemetery, Timpson.  Born February 13, 1926, she was the daughter of Frank and Liome Tutt.  Survivors include Sister, Dessie Soleman of Nacogdoches; Sons, David Ray Booth, Roger Dale Wilson, Willie Ray Tutt, Jr. and Terry Lynn Tutt, all of Nacogdoches.  Sid Roberts Funeral Home.

 

LARRY RAY STROOPE, SR.
     Larry Ray Stroope, Sr. died May 12, 2008 in Center.  Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park.  Born November 27, 1940, he was the son of Roy L. and Myrtle Ruth Lockmiller Stroope.  Mr. Stroope was an Electrician.  Survivors include Wife, Linda Stroope of Huxley; Son, Ray Stroope, Jr. of Shelbyville; Father, Roy L. Stroope of Dallas; Brother, Tommy Roy Stroope of Dallas.  Mangum Funeral Home.

HAROLD KENNETH BOGUE, SR.
    Harold Kenneth Bogue, Sr., died May 13, 2008 in Nacogdoches.  Cremation was requested.   Born April 1, 1926, in Timpson, he was the son of Joseph Buell and Jimmie Vera Corley Bogue. Mr. Bogue served in the U.S. Army during WWII  and served as constable and Justice of the Peace for Nacogdoches County.  He was preceded in death by Parents; Sisters, Vivian White and Helda Andrade.  Taylor Funeral Home.
